Terms and Conditions

These terms govern using this website and selling metal to us. Please read the shipping and testing sections in particular — they are where disagreements usually come from.

Who may sell to us

• You must be 18 or older.
• You must own the items outright, or hold written authority to sell them. Items under finance, lien, or consignment are not accepted.
• Items must not be stolen, recovered property, or subject to any dispute of title.
• By submitting a request you confirm all three of those things.

Quotes are not offers

Anything stated on the website, in an email reply, or in a preliminary estimate is indicative only. No price is offered until your items have been weighed and tested here and we have issued a written offer. We may decline any request, and we may revise an estimate at any time before it becomes a written offer.

How your offer is calculated

Your offer reflects the measured weight and verified purity of the metal, valued at the market at the time we complete testing. It does not reflect sentimental value, retail replacement value, craftsmanship, brand, or the price you paid. Stones, pearls, crystals, watch movements, batteries and dials are not valued, and are assumed to be synthetic unless the piece arrives with GIA documentation.

Shipping and risk

• Nothing should be sent until we have replied with shipping instructions.
• Items remain at your risk while in transit to us. Use a carrier with tracking, and consider insurance — we cannot make a claim on a shipment we did not purchase coverage for.
• Keep your tracking number. It is the only reliable proof of delivery.
• We are not responsible for loss or damage caused by a carrier.

Testing may damage your items

Verifying purity can require scratching, acid, or heat. An item sent to us may not return in wearable condition, even if you decline the offer. Submitting a request means you accept that risk.

Declining an offer

You may decline any offer at no cost and with no obligation. Declined items are returned to the address you give us. If an offer sits unanswered for an extended period, we will contact you before taking any further action.

Accepting an offer and payment

Selling completes when you accept in writing. Payment is issued in US dollars through PayPal. We do not hold your card, bank, or PayPal account credentials, and we store no payment information on this website.

What we do not do

We are not appraisers and we do not issue certificates of authenticity or value. We do not provide investment, tax, or legal advice, and nothing on this site is a recommendation to buy or sell any metal as a financial instrument. We buy and sell physical metal for resale and refining.

Taxes and reporting

You are responsible for any tax consequences of a sale. We keep business records of completed purchases and may be required to report certain transactions; we will tell you if that applies to yours.

Use of this site

You agree not to submit false or third-party information, not to use the intake form for anything other than a genuine quote request, and not to interfere with the site's operation. Content on this site is the property of this business and may not be copied for commercial use.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, our total liability arising from a transaction is limited to the amount we paid you for the items, or the value of the items if they were returned, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses.

Changes and governing law

We may update these terms; the effective date above changes when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, USA.
